In-Text Advertising is an easy, additional revenue stream for your film website. It takes little know-how, is free, and does not compromise the integrity of your website. After testing out the three major in-text advertisers: Kontera, Infolinks, and Vibrant, the previous version of Vibrant with its Bing SERPs pop-up box tested the best, Kontera second best, and Infolinks third best. The current version of Vibrant is closer to Kontera but Vibrant still edges it out with its related posts feature and its numerous premium advertisers. Kontera is adding more and more premium advertisers to its roster so the second factor in Vibrant’s win may be getting smaller with every new contract signed. For a movie website, I
would still lean towards Vibrant because of its related posts pop up but barely since there are other related posts plugins and scripts that can be used to serve the same purpose (the Related Posts WP Plugin, discussed in this post: Starting a Movie Website: WordPress Plugins or LinkWithin, discussed in this post: LinkWithin, Related Posts Plugin Combination. Choose One, not Both.). The best thing to do is to try out Vibrant and Kontera for a week and choose the one that makes the most money for you and serves your needs the best. When Vibrant gets their act back together, the choice will be clear, until then try them both.
