Check the Social Network Availability of a Domain Name with Namechk

When you decide to start a website, the first thing that most people choose for that website is its name. What most people don’t do is the next most critical step – check to see if that domain name is available across all of the social networks that you want your website to be present on.

You also want to make sure that the name you choose fits the character limit of all social networks and is the same name across all social networks, making your domain easily searchable and find-able across multiple social networks and platforms.

Previously this process was tedious and laborious, with prospective webmasters having to go to each social networking platform to see if a particular name was available. That is not the case anymore with Namechk.

Namechk allows the user to check a potential website name across all domain name types and all available social networks.

What is Namchk?

Namechk is a free username and domain search tool.

Use Namechk to see if your desired username or vanity url is still available at dozens of popular Social Networking and Social Bookmarking websites.

Using Namechk

Type the name you would like to select as your domain name into the Namechk search box and click the search button. The search results will show you which domains are available for the website name that you selected. The Namechk search results will also show you which social networks are still free for that website name to be registered on.

Once you have selected the domain name that you want and found that it is available as a .com and across the social networks that you want that site on, you can go to a domain name retailer, purchase and register it, then you can move on to selecting what type of content management system that you want for your website, WordPress or Blogger.
